Catalyst 9000 Series Switch Models
The world is fast changing and your network needs to keep up with it. As we enter the next era of networking, Cisco is evolving the legacy Catalyst platforms to the new Cisco Catalyst 9000 switches. These switches are designed to be the foundation of intent-based network architecture and revolutionary approach to the networking. All the Catalyst 9000 switches are supporting Cisco smart licenses and permanent license reservation (PLR license) for registration.
The new Cisco Catalyst 9200 series, empowers from IOS XE Lite, is designed to replace 2960-X and the Catalyst 2960-XR series switches fixed configuration switches, that provide enterprise class access for Campus and branch applications with up to 136 Gbps chassis, and to extend intent-based networking capability everywhere. As foundational building blocks for the Cisco Digital Network Architecture, vSwitches help customers simplify flexibility and optimize IT with features including redundant power supply, MACSec, UADP ASIC technology and full flexible NETFLOW make it the most cost-effective entry-level solution.
The Cisco Catalyst 9200 is available in two SKUs, the 9200 and the 9200L. these Series includes the switches listed below:
C9200L-24/48T Data-only switches
C9200L-24/48P PoE+ switches
C9200L-48PL Partial PoE+ switches
C9200L-24/48PXG Multigigabit Ethernet switches with PoE+
C9200-24/48T Data-only switches
C9200-24/48P PoE+ switches
C9200-24/48PB PoE+ switches with enhanced VRF capability
C9200-48PL Partial PoE+ switches
C9200-24/48PXG Multigigabit Ethernet switches with PoE+
Here are the key differences between 9200 and 9200L:
Cisco Catalyst 9300 series is the evolution of the Cisco Catalyst 3K family. These switches are based on the revolutionary UADP ASIC and empowers from Cisco IOS XE. They are the ideal access switches for business critical branch and Campus environments featuring container-based application hosting, flexible uplink options and Cisco StackPower intelligent power management technology. Plus, they also are equipped with full SD-Access support and Encrypted traffic analytics (ETA) businesses can leverage the power of the machine learning to identify and take actions towards threats or anomalies in the network. Using Cisco Catalyst 3K licenses PLR licenses all the features would be activated permanently.
The Cisco Catalyst 9300 is available in two SKUs, the 9300 and the 9300L. these Series includes the switches listed below:
