Differences in the Catalyst 9000 Series Switch Models

Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series

The new Cisco Catalyst 9200 series, empowers from IOS XE Lite, is designed to replace 2960-X and the Catalyst 2960-XR series switches fixed configuration switches, that provide enterprise class access for Campus and branch applications with up to 136 Gbps chassis, and to extend intent-based networking capability everywhere. Here are the key differences between 9200 and 9200L:

• The 9200 supports Stackwise-160, while 9200L supports Stackwise-80.
• The 9200 has larger lookup tables than the 9200L.
• The 9200 supports field-replaceable fan units and modular uplinks, while the 9200L does not.

• 9200L only supports one virtual network but 9200 supports up to 4 virtual networks.
• Stacking bandwidth capacity for the 9200 is 160Gbps but for the 9300L is 80Gbps

Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series

Cisco Catalyst 9300 series is the evolution of the Cisco Catalyst 3K family. These switches are based on the revolutionary UADP ASIC and empowers from Cisco IOS XE.
