The CMS provides a single platform for audio, video and web meeting which eventually can be manager using Cisco Call Manager. CMS Models

Designed in following models:

• The Cisco Meeting Server Acano X-series
• The Cisco Meeting Server 1000 (CMS 1000): A UCS 5108 chassis with 8 B200 blades and the Meeting Server software pre-installed as the sole application.
• The Cisco Meeting Server 2000 (CMS 2000): A Cisco UCS server preconfigured with VMware and the Cisco Meeting Server installed as a VM deployment.

Note: From CMS version 3.0 and later, the Acano X-Series servers is not supported. It’s also not supported for older versions of Call Bridge to connect to the latest Meeting Server services such as Web Bridge 3, recorder, streamer available in Meeting Server 3.0.

Cisco CMS License 

Cisco Meeting Server Licenses are available in various types and models, such as: Multiparty licenses that can be installed per user (PMP+ license), or shared (SMP+ license), On-Prem Shared Meeting License and etc. These licenses enable different features on your Cisco CMS server providing scalability and availability to your collaboration network in most cost-effective solution.

CMS Version 3.0 introduces support for Smart Licensing on Cisco Meeting Server using Cisco Meeting Management (CMM) version 3.0 (or later). For larger deployments, CMM can be deployed in new licensing-only mode without active meeting management.

CMS Licensing Changes

First of all, Cisco Meeting Management version 3.0 (or later) is mandatory in version 3.0 and SMP and PMP license usage is combined to decide if a day is counted as overage. other feature licenses are assessed separately  and enabled with entitlement via Meeting Management.
